These terms govern your use of this website. By reading these pages or sending an appointment request, you accept them. Stop using the site if you disagree with any part.

1. Who runs this site
Dr Sanjay Lalloo, a specialist ophthalmic surgeon registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, runs this website. Section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 requires us to publish the following.
Dr Sanjay Lalloo, Ophthalmic Surgeon

2. What this site does
This website describes the practice, the conditions Dr Lalloo treats and how to reach the rooms. It lets you send a request for an appointment. It does nothing else. You cannot buy anything here, and the site processes no payments.
3. No medical advice
Everything written on these pages, including the frequently asked questions, gives general information about eye health. None of it diagnoses your condition or prescribes your treatment.
Your eyes are your own, and general writing cannot account for your history, your medication or what an examination would reveal. Consult Dr Lalloo or another qualified health care professional about your own symptoms. Never delay seeking advice, or disregard advice a doctor has given you, because of something you read here.
4. No practitioner and patient relationship
Reading this website creates no relationship between you and Dr Lalloo. Sending the appointment form creates none either. That relationship begins when the practice accepts you as a patient and Dr Lalloo examines you.
5. Emergencies
This website handles no emergencies. Nobody monitors the form after hours. If you lose vision, suffer severe eye pain, injure your eye or splash a chemical into it, telephone the rooms during consulting hours or go to your nearest emergency department at once.
6. Appointment requests
The form sends a request. It books nothing. Your appointment exists once a member of the practice contacts you and confirms a date and a time.
We aim to respond within ordinary working hours, and we cannot promise a particular response time. The practice may decline a request, or refer you elsewhere, where that serves your care.
Tell us if you need to cancel or move an appointment, so that another patient can use the slot.
7. Accuracy
We take care to keep these pages correct and current. Medical practice changes, and details such as consulting hours change too. We give no warranty that everything here stays accurate or complete. Telephone the rooms to confirm anything you intend to rely on.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the site running and cannot guarantee it. Our hosting provider, your network or maintenance work may interrupt it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.
9. Links to other websites
Some pages link to sites we do not control, including OpenStreetMap and Google Maps. We provide those links for your convenience. We take no responsibility for their content, their accuracy or how they handle your information. Read their own terms and privacy policies.
10. What we ask of you
When you use this site, please:
- Give accurate details on the form, so that the practice can reach you
- Send the form only for your own enquiry, or for someone you care for
- Leave out anything you would rather discuss in the consulting room
- Refrain from attempting to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site
- Refrain from using the site to send unlawful, abusive or misleading material
11. Intellectual property
The text, layout, photographs and the practice logo on this site belong to Dr Sanjay Lalloo or to the people who licensed them to him. You may read these pages, print them and share a link. Copying the content for your own publication, or using the logo, requires our written permission.
The photographs show Dr Lalloo, his team and a patient who agreed to appear. Do not reproduce them.
12. Our liability
You use this website at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, Dr Lalloo and the practice accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from reliance on its general information, or from any interruption to it.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law forbids us to exclude. Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the National Health Act 61 of 2003. Nothing here limits the professional duty Dr Lalloo owes you as his patient.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your personal information, how we treat health information, and the rights the Protection of Personal Information Act gives you. It forms part of these terms.
14. Law that applies
South African law governs these terms. The courts of South Africa hear any dispute about them.
15. Changes to these terms
We revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version, and it applies from the moment we publish it.
16. Contact us
Ask us about these terms by email at admin@pmbeyedoctor.co.za, by telephone on 033 812 2350, or in person at the rooms.
